Projects and Buildings in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the Capital and the biggest Emirate in the United Arab Emirates. It competers firecly with its neighbor Dubai to attractor financial investors, but it works hard to keep its enviroment family friendly. The city is charchterized by its waterscape, as it is a collection of islands that connects to each other, this makes its living environment more barable.

Major architects and builders are operating in the city and it has some of of the major internation collection of musuem and cultural events.

Here is the list of current and proposed projects in Abu Dhabi

Jebel Hafeet Resort

Jabal HafeetDesigned by Aedas, the designed resort compromise from clusters of Rooms and individual villas are either placed strategically into the steep terrain or bridging over its valleys. An intricate weave of hiking trails intermixed with pocket oasis, along with the resort itself, results in an almost “non-architectural” landscape solution. The lines of where the mountains meet the hotel are completely blurred.

ADIC Headquarters

Aedas’ designs for the dual tower complex will act as a gateway to city, with the taller of the two buildings rising to 150 metres. The project will provide world-class accommodation for over 2,000 employees.

Sky Gardens Tower

The Sky Gardens Tower is designed as an landmark tower that will contribute to the strategic location on Reem Island and beauty of the Eshraq site, designed by  James Law Cybertecture International.

Du Cube

Du Cube - Abu DhabiIn height which contains 18 levels of offices and 3 podium levels of shopping complex. The upper office tower is a slightly tilted, cube like building block sitting on the podium.

SOUTH OF SHAMKHA

The South of Shamkha project is located some 50 km from the heart of Abu Dhabi Island, which will become a regional centre of activity for shopping, health support services and entertainment, providing for the growing local population of residents of Abu Dhabi estimated to be around 500,000.

MGM Mirala

Buro Happold worked in close collaboration with Gensler Architects providing engineering support for the development of the MGM Mirala master plan in Abu Dhabi.

Al Sowa Island

Al Sowa island is a 54hectare island site located on the eastern side of Abu Dhabi Island. To the east of the Island lies Al Reem Island which is currently planed for a large mixed use development.
