5th Crossing Bridge in Dubai

Norman Foster + Partners see to win the bridge competition in Dubai. The competition was initiated in mid 2008 where major offices from across the world have been invited. The competition was managed by Consult Mansuel and it is a fully confidential project for some reason.

There are still no published images of the design entry, and there are some rumors that these bridges will never get built, at least not in the coming 5 years. Dubai is currently hit by a huge financial crisis, and a lot of architectural and engineering firms starting rolling to Abu Dhabi, Saudi and Qatar. It seems that the westerners liked the Bedouins moving strategy.
