The Index building is an 80-storey office tower located in the Dubai Financial District that, when complete in 2008, will have 25 levels of office space, 5 levels of parking, retail and other services and 520 residential apartments and penthouses.

The tower has been designed to minimise adverse climatic effects on the building. It is orientated so that the East and West cores shelter the floor plates from the intense heat of the sun in this region. Sun shades are used on the South facade to minimise the effect of solar gain.A double height sky lobby will separate the offices and apartments; recreational facilities like a swimming pool, gym, and restaurants will be located on the sky lobby.
