Jawad Botmeh

Jawad Botmeh began painting while serving a long prison sentence as a victim of a miscarriage of justice. Painting created an important third space between inside and outside prison that allowed him to express his identity as a Palestinian political prisoner. He also works with ceramics and sculpture and exhibited his work in London in 2003.
