Haramain Railway StationFoster + Partners and Buro Happold joint venture has been appointed to design four stations along a new high speed railway line in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will link the cities of Makkah and Madinah via Jeddah.

Wadi Hanifa Wetlands

Wadi Hanifah is the longest and most important valley near Riyadh. With its occasional lush stretches, it is a unique natural and geographical feature in the dry central highlands of Saudi Arabia. It is also a natural drainage course for surface water for a very large area, fed by a number of tributaries. Wadi Hanifah's entire drainage run-off area covers approximately 4,000 square kilometres.

Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency

This project was the central headquarters for the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. It included facilities for the administration of the Saudi Arabian banking system, as well as vaults for the storage and sorting of currency and bullion.

King Abdullah Financial DistrictParcels 407 and 408 are mixed-use, and are developed as one combined lot with two towers - 88 meters and 133 meters tall. The site has its longest eastern face to the Wadi, and along this edge the design has 3 levels of continuous retail and public space.

The project is sited on the first of 10 ‘parcels’ currently under development in the massive new master-planned district. The building comprises a 17-storey tower, a three-storey podium, and a four-storey underground structure for hotel support functions and parking. To be operated as a Wyndham property, the hotel will include a business center, executive club, signature restaurants, a lounge, and a resort-style spa and health club.

The façade appears magical as a lace-like shell surrounding the lush oasis from which the scent of flowers, the tinkle of water and the chirp of birds greet you. The limestone façade of the shell adapts its colour to the city and the desert.
