Inspired by the uniquely beautiful monument of Petra. ...We are applying the principle of fluid erosion and carving to the mass of the building for the performing arts centre. The urban strategy pursues the maximization of open public space on the western edge of the site. The mass of the new building is therefore pushed into the eastern extension of the site to clear the wider western end for sake of creating a big public plaza.

HKS Architects were awarded a contract to design The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) as cancer research and treatment center for Jordan and surrounding countries in the Middle East region.[[ad]]

ECA led a joint venture with Jordanian multidisciplinary firm Bitar Consultants and London based interpretation designers Land Design Studio to redevelop the visitor facilities to the ancient Nabatean city of Petra in Jordan, with funding from the World Bank.

Omar Bilbeisi studied art in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts and with the artist, Ounis Amor. In 1995, he took up the post of Assistant Director at Darat Al Funun in Amman, Jordan, and also helped set up the Dar El Fan Museum and the Museum of Traditional Life there.

Hani Alqam was born in Amman, Jordan, in 1977. He received a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Ministry of Culture Training Centre in 1991.
