This winning competition proposal for AUB's new Suliman S. Olayan School of Business building has been precisely conceived from the outside in and from the inside out. From the outside in means that it has been generated from the point of view of campus planning, aiming to produce the best and clearest exterior spaces, maximum pedestrian connectivity, desirable lines of vision and the proper building mass (building height and profile, etc.) according to its location and its relations to adjacent buildings.

world famous hotel chain Ritz Carlton putting forward proposals to build a hotel on Beirut's coast line.The Ritz Carlton Beirut is situated on the corniche in Beyrouth. Designed by Chicago based architects Perkins and Will.

Inspired by translucent drapery, the skin of the building is constructed of undulating perforated metal. The hotel suites and rooms are designed to take maximum advantage of their outdoor access and sea views through both the porous nature of the structure and a number of elements that link the interior and exterior environments in each room. The new hotel will contain 250 rooms as well as 31 apartments that range in size from 190 to 600 sq meters. The complex will also contain retail elements as well as restaurants, a night club and health spa.
