After a competitive selection process involving four world-renowned architecture firms, Benchmark Development has appointed international architects Herzog & de Meuron as the lead consultants to head the architectural design of a residential project in Beirut namely Beirut Terraces.

designed by VJAA in Minneapolis, the Charles Hostler Student Center on the campus of the American University of Beirut sits as a new lelegant strict structure in the middle of the aging old buildings. The building has been commended by the AIA as one of the Top Ten Green Projects for 2009. The awards recognise projects as examples of sustainable architecture and green design solutions that protect and enhance the environment.
